After hours and hours of searching for a solution, after tests with different methods like nLite and DriverPacks BASE 1006, Microsoft hotfixes, etc, with no luck. Finally, i managed to find something that could be a viable solution to install Windows Small Business Server on Intel RAID SRCSATAWB Controller. And indeed was the only solution that worked, even if is the simplest one.
- Intel RAID Controller SRCSATAWB Controller Driver for Microsoft Windows 2003 Server operating system fails to load during installation of Microsoft Windows 2003 Server R2 (SP1) 32-bit and 64-bit.
- During Microsoft Windows 2003 Server R2 (SP1) x86 setup, the user will see the following error right after the “LSI MegaRAID SAS RAID Controller Driver” has been loaded from the floppy diskette or has been integrated with nLite into original instalation disk:
The file megasas2.sys is corrupted.
Workaround, using IBM drivers is optional or let say latest is better, anyway integration of SP2 is mandatory and works just great:
- use Microsoft Windows 2003 Server R2 (SP2) or make Unatended Disk and integrates Service Pack 2
- in addition you can use driver provided by IBM, se the link below
