Get root on HTC Wildfire A3333 with UnrEVOked 3.21 Saturday, 20 November 2010

First of all many thanks to UnrEVOked team for making this easy and possible, awesome release. Here i put on paper my root experience step by step.

  • OS: Windows 7 x86
  • Phone: HTC Wildfire A3333 (Android v1.25.405.1)
  • Application: UnrEVOked v 3.21
  • Drivers: unrEVOked modified USB driver

  • go to UnrEVOked and download the application according to your installed OS. Direct download links for Windows , Linux or MacOS
  • windows users must download modified drivers, direct link here unrEVOked modified USB driver , unpack the drivers somewhere you will remember, desktop maybe.

Running the process:

  • connect you HTC phone, HTC Sync will run by istself. Press disconnect and and right click on the HTC Sync tray icon to exit the application.
  • don’t unplug the phone and make sure that the HTC.exe process is not running
  • make sure USB debugging is enabled on the phone (see pictures)
  • start UnrEVOked application, is fully automatic, whole process will involve several phone restarts but no worries just don’t intervene for now
  • windows will find new hardware, let it try to install, when fails just manually install by selecting the path to modified unpacked drivers you just downloaded
  • open Device Manager and check  for correct driver instalation on Android Phone > Android Bootloader Interface (see picture)
  • on final step you get [done] message on down side of UnrEVOked application, it’s time check the phone screen (see picture)
  • disconnect the phone or just choose [reboot system now] from the menu shown on the phone screen (see picture)
  • after restart the HTC Wildfire is rooted

HTC Wildfire button functions:

  • volume [+ /-] is for menu up / down navigation
  • power/screen-lock is for back into the upper menu
  • pressing the optical trackpad acts as enter into menu / execute

  1. Q says:

Currently i don’t own HTC Wildfire anymore to test and confirm that is working or not but from other sources seem to work just great for v2.2.1. See the link http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Wildfire:_Full_Update_Guide

Here are the full specifications of the phone successfully rooted:
