2010 Kaspersky Antivirus & Internet Security delete temporary files

  • Locate *.tmp files under:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP9\Bases\Cache\
  • Open KIS/KAV > Settings > Options and disable the Self-Defense option
  • Select all *.tmp file and delete (*)
  •  Open KIS/KAV > Settings > Options and enable the Self-Defense option

(*) There is no need to close the KIS/KAV application before deleting files. Not all file can be deleted, latest *.tmp file (ex. avE.tmp) that is in use can’t be deleted even with KIS/KAV Self Defence disabled.
